Cash Loan Web Bank Review

Cash Loan Web Bank ReviewCash Loan Web Bank has some interesting features, like not having to fax anything and keeping the entire process online. They say there’s no obligation to go with one of their lenders and you won’t be hit with any unexpected fees.

It’s funny to think that the payday industry has devolved to this point, where a lender has to state that they don’t have any hidden fees. This shows that there are some unscrupulous companies out there that will try to stick you with fees they didn’t fully disclose, or trick you into obligating yourself with a loan you didn’t want. It should be clear what you are paying, when it’s due, and what each fee is for.

But that’s just the world we live in, and a few bad apples spoil things for the rest of us. You may not have thought that you could get taken advantage of by an online loan company, but several people have, so it’s best to look out. CLWB says they’ve been around since 2005, and in Internet years that’s basically forever. In this industry that’s really saying something too, since most companies are here today and gone tomorrow. They are almost celebrating their 10 year anniversary, and that’s a milestone not many companies see in the financial sector.

Cash Loan Web Bank Review – What Can They Do For You?

Cash Loan Web Bank is not a direct lender, so don’t expect them to lend you any money at any point. They are in business for one reason and that’s to get you to apply for a loan through their site or through their phone number. It’s not a bad thing that a company serves as the middleman because some lenders are not equipped to handle the front end of finding new customers, but you have to wonder why that is. What lender can’t make a website and do their own marketing to attract new customers? Do you really want to trust them with your private information like banking details and employment information.

Security is Key
Their application is hosted on a secure server, so you don’t have to worry about providing your information. It’s not exactly spelled out what happens to your information once you submit it, but they do say that you get an instant decision. In our experience, an “instant decision” generally means that you’ll get some sort of pre-qualification message, but then a real person will have to decide whether you’ll get the money or not.

Phony Phone Number
The phone number they provide is not for Cash Loan Web Bank and is just a generic toll free number for “Loan Application Center” that is simply a way to apply for a loan by phone and does not provide any sort of customer service because they are not a lender. The toll free number that is provided by CLWB is their own private number and any applications that are collected by this phone number will pay a commission to them as a sort of finder’s fee. Their online application works much the same way, they are simply collecting your information and passing it on to interested third parties for a fee.

We really wish they’d do something about this phone number because it is not something that a reputable company would do. They make it seem like it is their own number when in fact it is not. There are other services out there that actually do offer a real toll free number with real people manning the phones that represent the company.

Our Recommendation
Cash Loan Web Bank is just one of hundreds of sites like this that say they will match you with a lender and all you have to do is fill out the application. It’s up to you whether you want to use a service like this of if you’d rather deal with a lender directly. There are pros and cons to both, but we think it’s best to go with a matching service if you are pressed for time. There are better matching services out there than this one, but it’s not the worst site you could go with. They do have a secure server, and appear to be legit.
